Radiesse is a versatile dermal filler that lifts and contours whilst stimulating your body’s own collagen production to rejuvenate your skin. Once injected Radiesse begins to stimulate the production of the body’s natural collagen for results that may last to over one year.

Radiesse is made of calcium-based micro spheres suspended in a water-based gel, and is administered as a simple, minimally invasive injection in combination with local anaesthetic. It can be used to enhance existing features as well as to restore lost volume, resulting in am ore youthful appearance.

Radiesse dermal filler has been rigourously tested, and has an excellent safety and efficacy record. There are no incidences of allergic reaction recorded.

Upon injection, Radiesse stimulates the tissues to produce new collagen, which restores volume and improves elasticity of the skin, something which declines with age but can also be reduced by rapid weight loss or illness. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse dermal filler continues to work over time, resulting in a longer lasting result, and gradually dissolves away over a 18 month or longer period. It has been approved by FDA and has CE mark certification.

Radiesse should not be injected over permanent injectable implants. Patients with any permanent fillers in the injection area should notify their treating practitioner prior to any further filler injection.

Has Radiesse Been Tested And Certified?

Yes, Radiesse achieved CE certification in 2003. The CE certification is the European Union standard for product safety. Radiesse was also approved by the FDA the American regulatory authority in 2006

How Long Does It Last?

Individuals results are dependant on age, skin type, lifestyle, and metabolism and of course, the area treated. Generally the effect of the treatment lasts over a year for most patients.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

This all depends on the corrective work required. Radiesse syringes come pre filled and packed using a 1.5ml syringe. A standard treatment for mild volume loss may be 1-2 syringes and for medium laxity 2-3 syringes. The more syringes required will result in two separate appointments being made for comfort and product result.

Your practitioner will help you complete a full consent record and photos will be taken.
Your skin will be cleansed and marked with a white removable pencil and some topical anaesthetic will be applied. The injection process will be 30-45 minutes depending on the amount of product allocated. A cannula or needle may be used depending on which area needs rejuvenated.
The effects will be immediate developing over the next 6 weeks. A full aftercare plan will be given. Radiesse syringes come pre packed with 1.5ml volume.
